You must be kidding. Why anyone would pay $20 to read what has already been called a self-serving piece of gossip by most objective reviewers is beyond me.
I doubt if I will buy it, but I will probably check it out of the library and read it. Say what you will about Palin, she does know how to stay in the limelight. She is the political equivalent of Madonna.
I think the Democrats are making a mistake in underestimating the drawing power of Sarah Palin. She may not run for office, but she will bring out Republicans to vote and in an off year election, this could prove to be a disaster for Democrats.
I hate to say it, but I think Proud Republican has a valid point especailly since Obama appears to be stuck in some sort of overly cautious professorial fog. Where is the dynamic mad of action that we voted for? Bush may be responsible for creating the mess that we are in; however, that excuse is wearing thin with each month that passes. Afghanistan is now Obama's war and 10% unemployment is Obama's problem. Health care reform seems stalled and the bankers who gambled and lost are now making record profits and paying themselves record bonuses with tax payer funds.
Most objective analysists seem to say that Palin doesn't have a snowball's chance in winning a national elective office. But didn't they also say that about George W. Bush? I think much will depend on how concerned Americans are concerned about social issues (abortion, gay rights, etc.) as opposed to economic, environment and security issues.

ReplyDeleteEven conservative columnist David Brooks said that Palin is a "joke." That's good enough for me.
ReplyDeleteFirst it was Balloon Boy and now it's nothing but Palin 24/7 on cable. Enough already with this nonsense.
