  1. This is a great day for America. In spite of all of the Republican lies and the millions of dollars spent by the insurance companies and their lobbyists, the Democrats did the right thing.

  2. Democrats, this is no time to gloat. This bill which takes away our freedom and which provides cradle to the grave socialism will not pass the Senate.

  3. The passage of the health care reform bill by the house is on a par with the passage of social security, civil rights, medicare, etc. I am proud to be a Democrat.

  4. We Democrats won a battle and it was a significant battle, but we have yet to win the war. Watch out for Joe Lieberman and those Blue Dogs in the Senate. However, the pressure will be on to get a health care bill passed.

  5. I watched most of the debate on C-Span yesterday and I don't recall ever seeing such a group of mean looking people as the Republicans who spoke against the bill. Their objections and questions regarding parlimetary procedure were oviously tactics to obstruct and delay. Shameful.
