Last night, some 20 NDC members and supporters viewed Michael Moore's latest movie "Capitalism: A Love Story." Whether you saw the movie last night with the group or at some other time, we would like to know what you think about it. Post you review here.
I saw the movie last weekend and I thought it was worth seeing. I thought the most pursuasive and humerous part was where Moore wrapped the buildings of the large investment banks with "crime scene" tape. It was disheartening to see how Congress is now owned by these large investment banks.
ReplyDeleteMoore makes the case that our country is now run by a "plutocracy." I am disappointed that President Obama hasn't regulated the too-big-to-fail banks so that we tax payers won't have to bail them out again because of their continuing greed their greed.
ReplyDeletePatrick and Carol:
ReplyDeleteI think you have captured two very salient messages from the movie. Personally, I was plesantly suprised by the members of Congress who spoke so candidly about their votes in opposition to the bank bailouts.
I like the way the Michael Moore tells the audience to take action. However I don't see much of that going on. The Democrats need more people like Congressman Grayson. Here is a video of him shot today from C-Span. He seems to be a good role model for clearly communicating with courage regarding what's really important about healthcare reform...
